FAQ: Client Interview with Yvonne Bleakley

How long have you been a marketing coach?

Well to answer this, let's go back to the beginning of my adventure back in 2006. I left my post as a bank manager and set up a Life Coaching practice from home after passing my coaching diploma with high distinction and gaining master coach status. I got clients pretty much right away and did pretty well in the first year, although it was very inconsistant and being a single mum with two growing teenage boys, I needed a good consistant income coming in otherwise the mortgage didn't get paid, and that didn't bear thinking about.
Going back to work in a corporate environment was not an option. I loved helping people and working in personal development and my life purpose was to take these tools to as many peope as I could reach. This meant I had to do everything within my power to make this work. Marketing was my weakest attributes. I was a coach, not a sales and marketing expert. I decided I had to make it my stregnth. One of my mentors, Ali Brown, says "your are not in the business of coaching (or whatever your business is), you are in the business of marketing your business."

At that very moment, I made a commitment to immerse myself in absolutely everything that had to do with getting clients. I read every book on marketing and networking I could get my hands on. I took every course that was available. I essentially decided to become a mini-expert on how to get clients. Within just a few short months, I had filled my coaching practice. I quickly discovered my niche and developed a programme to help managers and leaders get the most out of their staff, build a sold team and get respected. I became known as The Manager's Mentor.

I then started to attract other entrepreneaurs who wanted to know how to market their business and gain clients quickly. I loved watching the cogs go around as we brainstormed their business and seeing the lightbulb moments that they were having.

That’s when I decided to dedicate my professional career to help other service based professionals to build their business and have more leads, more clients and more sales in less time with less effort..

Who are your clients exactly?

I work with solo professionals who are really good at what they do; however, struggle to market themselves effectively and bring in a steady stream of clients. My clients include consultants, coaches, therapists, trainers, vitual assistants and graphic designers.

How are you different from other "business coaches?"

I ONLY work with solo professionals and very small businesses and I specialise in attracting clients. In other words, I don't coach people in bigger companies. This means that my clients get very specific step by step information on how to get more clients in less time with less effort.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

You will be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore, just a very different way of thinking. Remember that successful people are successful because they are prepared to do what most others are not. I will be there to support you every step of the way, while you achieve this incredibly exciting goal: more clients, in less time with less effort.

Absolutely Yes! Many clients report that they were able to cover the coaching investment often with only one new client. How will we work together and what does the programme entail?

This is a 12 month programme and comprises of 1 full day with me personally where we will map out your business together, with another 2 half days, plus 2 full 60 minute sessions by phone per month, when we work on your marketing and mindset to design your ideal business and work towards these goals. You also get 30 minutes per month to discuss or brainstorm with me whenever you need to between sessions as well as email support.

3. The More Leads, More Clients, More Sales Self Coaching Programme

You will get everything listed in the Mastery Programme except for the 1-2-1 coaching. It quickly became clear to me that whilst many people wanted the coaching, the investment was a step too far at that time. Well I’ve listened to feedback and now have the whole package available as a self-coaching package at a much lower investment. I have loaded the whole package online - week by week and step by step you are taken through what to do to start attracting the clients you want. The teaching is in the form of information, audio’s and questions to get you thinking along, with research and assignments to complete. If you complete all the modules in the order they are given you should see a rise in your client portfolio and also your confidence.

Whilst I would always recommend 1-2-1 coaching as a way to get the massive breakthroughs and be held accountable for taking action (and I know this from personal experience), a self-coaching package is a great way to learn and be able to apply the principles taught when the budget is tight. Remember this is a proven process for attracting new clients and the self coaching package contains all the information and principles/processes but without the personal coaching.
